What You Will Learn

CRA Essentials is a practical starting point for bankers who are new to CRA, newly responsible for the program, or still trying to connect the dots.

If CRA has ever felt confusing, fragmented, or harder to explain than it should be, this training was built for you.

In this 1-hour, on-demand webinar, Linda walks you through the core structure of CRA so you can understand how the regulation works, how your bank is evaluated, and what matters most as you grow into the role.

You will learn:

CRA Fundamentals & Regulatory Framework: Understand the purpose, history, and structure of CRA, plus the regulatory framework behind how banks are evaluated.

The 6-Stage CRA Journey: Learn Linda’s framework for navigating your evolving role as a CRA professional starting with technical compliance to changing people’s lives through the CRA.

Assessment Areas & Performance Standards: Get clear on how your bank’s assessment areas are defined and how regulators think about performance under CRA.

Lending, Investment & Service Test: Understand the three core areas that shape your CRA rating, including what qualifies, what does not, and how to think about each one more clearly.

The Examination Process & CRA Ratings: See how examiners evaluate your bank, what they are looking for, and how ratings are determined, so you can approach exams with more confidence.

AFTER CRA ESSENTIALS, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO:

✔ Explain the core structure and requirements of CRA more clearly

✔ Understand how your bank is evaluated and what drives performance

See your CRA program as a whole, not as disconnected responsibilities

✔ Move forward with a stronger foundation and more confidence in the role
